Verpan VP Globe pendant, 50 cm, polished aluminium

Designed by Verner Panton in 1969 and today manufactured by Verpan, the VP Globe pendant is a unique example of Panton’s skills as a lighting designer. VP Globe consists of a transparent acrylic sphere and five reflectors suspended by steel chains. The acrylic dome creates a magical bubble around the hand-polished aluminum reflectors that play with the surrounding shapes and the red and blue accent colors. VP Globe is a skilful study about the interaction between form, light and color, and it catches the eye for instance above the dining table or in the living room.
