Nemo Lighting’s Lorosae pendant light illuminates spaces with soft light that filters through both the walls of its shade and the white diffuser at the bottom. The pendant lamp’s glare-free light makes it an excellent choice for dining areas, kitchen islands as well as living rooms. Its minimalist design is also stunning when used in pairs or arranged in a row.
The Lorosae lighting collection originated in 1999 when architect Álvaro Siza designed a lamp for an exhibition at Basilica Palladiana in Vicenza. The collection was inspired by Siza’s trip to East Timor, known locally as Timor Loro Sae – Loro Sae meaning “the place where the sun rises”. The collection’s rounded shapes and the soft glow of its translucent shade evoke the gradually brightening hues of the morning sky.
