Nemo Lighting Lorosae pendant, Sicilian orange

Nemo Lighting’s Lorosae pendant light illuminates spaces with soft light that filters through both the walls of its shade and the white diffuser at the bottom. The Lorosae lighting collection originated in 1999 when architect Álvaro Siza designed a lamp for an exhibition at Basilica Palladiana in Vicenza. The collection was inspired by Siza’s trip to East Timor, known locally as Timor Loro Sae – Loro Sae meaning “the place where the sun rises”. The collection’s rounded shapes and the soft glow of its translucent shade evoke the gradually brightening hues of the morning sky.
