Verpan’s Wire table lamp is a sculptural design classic created by the legendary Danish designer Verner Panton in 1972. Panton chose two contrasting elements as the materials of the Wire lamp: an upward-widening, chrome-plated metal wire base and a white, hemispherical plastic shade that diffuses light gently. The light source is placed inside a small metal reflector, also hemispherical, which directs the light up to the shade while preventing glare.
The soft light and striking, sculptural design of the Wire table lamp make it a true eye-catcher for example a coffee table, window sill or sideboard.
