Moomin Arabia Moomin mug 0,4 L, ABC, S

The Moomin ABC mugs are decorated with adorable initials featuring various Moomin characters. The S mug depicts the theater rat Emma peeking out from her hiding place, scrutinizing her guests with a sense of disdain. Their behavior is quite peculiar indeed: the dishes are nailed to the theater’s sloping floor to keep them in place – resulting, of course, in broken dishes. Meanwhile, Mymble is seen running across the stage, escaping from a lion.

The S mug is part of the “Reading, writing and the Moomins” initiative that promotes the importance of literacy and the joys of reading. The mugs’ Moomin alphabet is based on Tove Jansson’s hand-drawn initial capitals and lettering created for the book The Memoirs of Moominpappa as well as her maps of Moominvalley. The mugs’ form is familiar from the Iittala Teema series, but in contrast to most Moomin mugs, the ABC mugs’ size is larger: 13.53 x 0 fl oz (4 x dl. dl).
