GUBI C-Chair, cane – oiled walnut

GUBI’s C-Chair, designed by Marcel Gascoin in 1947, was born out of sheer necessity in post-war France when new, smaller homes were built to replace those damaged in the war, and new furniture was needed to fit into those homes. Marcel Gascoin answered this need by designing functional yet elegant furniture like the C-Chair, a classic dining chair characterized by a robust construction and a simple yet strong expression. Due to its clean-lined design language, the C-Chair fits into a variety of interiors from private homes to public spaces.
