Fredericia Mogensen 2209 sofa, black – walnut

Fredericia’s elegant two-seater sofa 2209 was designed by Børge Mogensen in 1963. This Mogensen 2209 sofa has been upholstered in black, vegetable-tanned aniline leather with a breathable, open-pored texture.

Fredericia’s Select Collection consists of sofas and armchairs characterized by simple but noble shapes and luxurious materials. Besides private residencies, they are seen in embassies, minister’s cabinets and upscale hotels around the world. Mogensen found the inspiration for the collection from Porter’s chairs and sofas designed by Kaare Klint in the 1920s. The whole range is crafted and upholstered by hand at Fredericia’s own factory in Denmark.
